50 days to #C2C19, 19th edition of the global avant—pop music festival Club To Club, that will take place in Turin from 30th October to 3rd November:
5 days of non—stop music in some of the most iconic and fascinating locations in Turin, from the renewed spaces of Officine Grandi Riparazioni to the majestic Reggia di Venaria, through the post-industrial Lingotto's pavilions and the Sunday block party.

CAST:

Producer/singer/songwriter JAMES BLAKE has become universally known for a unique style that wrapped aching, gently sung R&B vocals around deep bass and minimal rhythmic elements. After a series of singles, he achieved both critical acclaim and worldwide fame following his self-titled 2011 album. His renown continued to rise over the next several years, and he collaborated with artists such as Beyoncè, Kendrick Lamar, Bon Iver, Frank Ocean, in addition to consistently working on solo material.
His latest album 'Assume Form' (featuring collaborations with Travis Scott, Andrè 3000, Metro Boomin, Moses Sumney and RosalÌa) is arguably his most direct, eclectic and pure artistic statement to date.
The alias of Australian electronic musician and producer Harley Edward Streten, FLUME makes atmospheric dance music inspired by house and UK garage. Recruiting collaborators from across genres, he rose up the mainstage ranks with his 2012 debut and his Grammy-winning 2016 sophomore effort 'Skin'. He returned in early 2019 with the mixtape 'Hi This Is Flume', which took many by surprise thanks to its experimental style.
With their debut album 'Night Drive', CHROMATICS caused quite a stir presenting us with wonderful melancholic melodies, spheric synth sounds and hypnotic vocals. The four-piece band from Portland, Oregon later secured their role as a landscape-defining band with 'Kill For Love'. Various songs would eventually be featured in television series, and in 2017 the band performed at the end of the season premiere of Twin Peaks revival series.
Now joining the line-up is ROMY. Romy Madley Croft is one third and leader of atmospheric indie pop group The xx: co-writer, guitarist and vocalist in the London band whose third album 'I See You' was released in 2017, she's also been writing songs for recent projects by Mark Ronson, Dua Lipa and Kelela. At Club To Club she will perform a special dj set.
Among the new names added to the programme, there's Glasgow-born, LA-based musician and producer SOPHIE. Her stunning debut album 'Oil of Every Pearlís Un-Insides' was universally praised and earned her a Grammy Award nomination. Sophieís brand of disorienting, tactile pop is uncanny, both authentic and artificial, a physical experience from an alternate reality.
BATTLES is a band that holds computerized loops in their brains, leaves sweat on their machines and whose sonic heartbeat is almost brutally human. Their new record 'Juice B Crypts', out October 18 on Warp, is "about chord progressions, resolutions, returning homeî as Ian Williams said in a statement.
Sam Shepherd aka FLOATING POINTS has quickly become one of the most respected and sought-after musician in modern music. On his new album 'Crush' -released on 18 October on Ninja Tune-, the Manchester born, London based producer/dj/composer combines a tempestuous blast of electronic experimentalism with some of his most expressive songs.
Some of the most consolidated music genres are projected into the future by artists who will perform in the 19th edition of Club To Club: for example in the adventurous and electrifying approach to music made by THE COMET IS COMING, the trio featuring saxophonist Shabaka Hutchings, considered the leading light of the contemporary British jazz scene. Or in creative and innovative take on pop made by those two English girls who call themselves LET'S EAT GRANDMA, or in the way London quartet BLACK MIDI imagines indie rock for the coming years, as in their acclaimed debut album 'Schlagenheim'. And again, in the peculiar mix of classical, folk, electronic elements and R&B made by singer-songwriter, cellist and producer KELSEY LU, and in the singular vision of MORMOR, whose ambitious and genre-bending pop songs are influenced by his African and Caribbean heritage and by his hometown of Toronto. HELADO NEGRO is a South Florida native, born to Ecuadorian immigrants and based in Brooklyn: his upbringing provides essential elements to his lyrically personal and political avant pop music.
After his irresistible set at Club To Club's previous edition, we welcome the return of SKEE MASK, the German producer whose second album 'Compro' was praised as one of 2018's best dance albums by the most prestigious magazines. 'Nothing Great About Britain', the first album by 24-year-old SLOWTHAI, was greeted with unanimous critical acclaim thank to the way its rough rhymes combine with a peculiar mix of grime, hip hop and electronic sounds. Based in Casablanca, ISSAMhas made a name for himself with a distinctive blend of trap and traditional Moroccan sounds: his music has exploded in popularity and he recently signed a contact with Universal France.
The popularity of NU GUINEA is also increasingly international, after the crossover success of their cult 'Nuova Napoli' album: in addition to the duo formed by Massimo Di Lena and Lucio Aquilina, Club To Club will feature a collective named NAPOLI SEGRETA, producers of the eponymous compilation dedicated to the Neapolitan disco and funk scene of the 70's and 80's.
HOLLY HERNDON operates at the nexus of technological evolution and musical euphoria, and will present 'Proto', an album elaborating an inhuman intelligence, live vocal processing and timeless folk singing.
Portland, Oregon-based duo VISIBLE CLOAKS will present an exclusive set with YOSHIO OJIMA and SATSUKI SHIBANO, trailblazers of the Japanese ambient music scene with whom they produced their latest album 'serenitatem'. SPENCER D of VISIBLE CLOAKS will also present a dj set based on his compilation 'Kankyo Ongaku: Japanese Ambient, Environmental & New Age Music 1980-1990'.
Their approach is as experimental as that of Liz Harris - a musician also known as Grouper - who on this occasion will introduce her alternative project NIVHEK, rarefied as emotional. At the vanguard of a vital East African music scene, Kenyan DJ/producer SLIKBACK combines local rhythmic heritage with sheer, abstract electronics. An emblematic artist of the Palestinian underground scene, SAMA' is one of the first DJs and electronic music producers to emerge from the region. Her punchy kind of techno has quickly made its way across Europe and beyond.
Another project from the label co-founded by the Chromatics' Johnny Jewel (Los Angeles-based Italians Do It Better) will be performing at the Festival's new edition: it's DESIRE, an electronic pop music trio whose music was featured in Nicolas Winding Refnís film 'Drive'.
Expect the unexpected from English duo RAP, among the most talked-about acts of 2019: their debut album 'Export' combines influences ranging from dub techno to post-punk in unusual ways.
Fresh from releasing his new album 'Seven Steps Behind' on Hyperdub, MANA joins the programme with his unique dreamy musical vision, managing to hold both dissonance and melody in sweet proportion. 72—HOUR POST FIGHT is the project by Luca Bolognesi and Carlo Luciano Porrini: their eponymous debut album is a 30 minute non-stop stream of electronic fields and musical twists, propelled by jazzy sax improvisation, jagged guitars and swinging drum breaks. And Turin-based media art collective SPIME.IM weaves its audiovisual tales from the ethereal textures that shape our worlds, as in their evocative album 'Exaland'.
Many dj sets from Italian projects and labels will complete the programme: they include HAUNTER RECORDS, the Milan-based label specialized in cracked electronics, irregular noise and post-structuralist dance music; HUNDEBISS RECORDS, the label founded by Simone Trabucchi, also known as Dracula Lewis and for his most recent project STILL; BLINKY, a music project formed by Andrea Bernardi and Francesco Chiamulera whose first EP is due to be released in autumn 2019; SPIRITUAL SAUNA, a crew whose sounds come from the deepest undergrounds, giving life to new genre-defying creatures; and STUMP VALLEY, whose jazz and ambient contaminated house music is gaining the attention of the international music scene.
